New Idea behind the US Military Focus

Ok so dig this.
Lets pull funding from the Army and Air Force. Give that money to the Marines and Navy. The Army and Air Force can easily have their power projection roles taken over by the Marines and Navy.

The US is looking to need more expeditionary units the army has been making move to become more of an expeditionary force. However this is a force that has no experience in an expeditionary role jumping into it. Lets just make the 2 armed services that have a history of expeditionary activities

It would behoove the US military to expand the size of the US Navy and Marine Corps. It does not require much argument to justify expanding the navy to improve our ability to defend ourselves and our ability to project power.

For the Marines lets look at it this way a Marine Expeditionary Force contains all the elements for success on the battlefield. The marine division is a wonderful mixture of armor, artillery, engineers, as well as light and mechanized infantry. It is very flexible and is adaptable to just about any situation that can be encountered on the battlefield. It would also help if the replacement for the AAV would have the firepower along the lines of a Bradley IFV.

The Marine Air Wing can play all the roles needed. Close Air Support, Air Superiority, Electronic Warfare, troop transport and air assault. All of these roles can be accomplished by the Marine Air Wing.

The Marine Logistics group can support both of the other components.

Having a full Marine Expeditionary Force deployed with heavy naval support would project US power better than anything the Army or Air Force can do. Also both the navy and marines fall under the same section of the DOD, the Department of the Navy so there would be a decrease in inter service rivalries.

As always guys I want to here what you think so please comment and share your thoughts!

Update:
another thing is to take the MV-22 Osprey and to give it armor a nose mounted 20mm rotary cannon, and the mountings for hellfire missiles on the side of the nose as was demonstrated in the recent forward firing capability test carried out by the Marine Corps.

Another thing is I am proposing for a Marine Corps that has 4 active Marine Expeditionary Forces, and 2 divisions, 2Marine Air Wings and 2 Marine Logistics Groups  in the reserves. The Marine Expeditionary Forces would have 3 MEUs each on constant deployment.

For the Navy I support getting rid of the pussy ass LCSs and instead developing a new class of honest to God frigates.

For both armed forces I propose getting rid of the F-35 program and to use the F-18 advanced super hornet and to upgrade the Harrier.
